The downtime is minimal with NeoSkin laser treatments.
NeoSkin treatments are safe for all skin types and can even be performed on tanned skin, making them suitable year-round. The short-pulse laser energy passes through the epidermis so quickly that it doesn’t have time to overheat the epidermal melanocytes, reducing the risk of pigmentation issues that can be associated with some laser systems.
Younger patients typically tolerate this treatment very well.
However, the treatment is not recommended if you are pregnant or have active cold sores.
To minimize skin irritation, we suggest discontinuing topical retinol and other active skincare products one week before your treatment.
For patients with a history of cold sores, pre-treatment with antiviral medication can help prevent triggering a cold sore during the procedure.
